CONCORDIA INVITATIONAL RECAP
Seward, Neb. - The Bethany College Swedes competed on Friday, February 7th, at Seward, Neb. for the Concordia Invitational. This meet was hosted by Concordia University.
The Swedes competed a smaller squad with mainly technical events and sprints. Most of the team capitalized on a recovery week and sat out to prepare for the KCAC Championships next week in Omaha, Neb. The smaller squad still came away with some outstanding results and great personal progress.
Overall, the Swedes had 12 PRs and one top-3 finish. The throwing squad had a good showing with all throwers hitting atleast one PR. Madison Kelley for her two personals bests in Weight Throw and Shot Put. The Swedes were led by Freshman Dylan Brice who had another strong day in Pole Vault where he once again soared to another personal best of 4.45m (14'7") maintaining his claim in the KCAC as best pole vaulter this year. His height was good for a 3rd place finish.
"We are excited and ready to have one more prep week before departing for the championships on Friday," said Head Coach Aaron Yoder.

This concludes the regular season for the Swedes. The KCAC Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held at the College of St. Mary's in Omaha, Neb. on Friday, February 14th, and Saturday, February 15th.
