Bio

Laura Jackson-Stenlund is beginning her 13th year with the Swedes. She is the Associate Professor of Athletic Training and Exercise Science as well as the PK-12 Health and Physical Education Coordinator. 

Prior to the moving into a Faculty role in 2016 Jackson-Stenlund spent 3 years as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Swedes. Prior to her time as the Head Athletic Trainer, Jackson-Stenlund spent two years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Bethany College. 

Jackson-Stenlund holds an Associates of Science in Sports Medicine from Iowa Western Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Missouri Valley College and a Masters of Arts in Teaching in Physical Education from Hastings College.

She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is a member of the Kansas Athletic Training Society and the American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider.

Jackson-Stenlund is married to her wife Katie and has one son, Elliot and resides in Lindsborg.
