Things started off well for the Swedes as Will Dominguez would slam down a dunk to put Bethany up 10-2 after the first five minutes of play. The Swedes would maintain the lead for another five minutes until the Mountain Lions knotted it up at 16 with 10 minutes left to play. Unfortunately, UCCS would go on a gather plenty of momentum finishing the half with a 26-14 run to into the break  up 35-28.

The Swedes would slowly work their way back into the game cutting it down to a one-possession lead multiple times in the second period, getting as close as one point, but would not be able to take the lead as UCCS would utilize a 30-16 run late to close the door and take this one 85-70.
