OAKWOOD INTERCOLLEGIATE RECAP

Enid, Okla. - The Swedes Men's Golf team competed in the Oakwood Intercollegiate this past Monday and Tuesday at Oakwood Country Club. The Men sputtered with a 10th place finish shooting a 54 hole total of 939 (329-311-299).

Will Briggs would lead the Swedes with a final stroke count of 231 (78-77-76) which was good for a tie for 30th place individually. 

Hans Woelfel (84-77-73) and Oscar Hammar (82-79-73) tied for 40th with a total of 234. Daniel DeGeorge finished in a tie for 55th with scores of 85, 78, and 77 (240).

Mads Hasenschwandtner finished in a tie for 67th with a 54-hole total of 243 (85-81-77).

"It was a tough week for us on the golf course and I am hoping we can bounce back from a lackluster performance" said head coach Zach Able. "I think we can learn from this experience as we prepare for the final stretch of the Spring season."

Up Next...

The Swedes will make their way to Lake Ozark, Missouri for the Osage National Spring Invitational. Both the women's and men's team will take the road next week to participate in the Thorntree Throwdown. Play will begin at 8 AM CT.
