
INDOOR KCAC TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS RECAP
Omaha, Neb. - The Bethany College Swedes Indoor Track & Field team took the road to Omaha, Nebraska as the KCAC hosted the 2023 KCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet lasted two days from Monday, February 12, to Tuesday, February 13th.
Head Coach Aaron Yoder: "The Swedes trusted their training and delivered their best performances when it mattered the most. We were impressed with how everyone showed grit and a sense resilience this season. All areas of the team showed great improvement whether it was techincal event or running events and also relays."
Overall, the Swedes had 26 personal bests, 8 All-Conference Honorable Mention performances, 3 event finalists, 2 1st-Team All-Conference performances, 1 event champion and the Athlete of Meet Award.
Enoch Ojo really carried the team by competing in 5 events and scoring in 4 which gave him the honors of being named the Male Indoor Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row. "We are very proud of the hard work he has put in the past 4 years," said Coach Yoder.
The Swedes will return to action February 29th-March 2nd in Billings, South Dakota for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships where Enoch Ojo will represent the Swedes in the 400m and Triple Jump. The next competition for the Swedes will March 23rd at Bethel College for the first Outdoor Track and Field competition right after spring break.
