SWEDES TAKE 13 POINTS AT FALCON INVITE

Park City, Kan. - The Bethany College Men's Wrestling team competed at the Falcon Invite on Saturday morning. These are the results of the matches by six of the Swedes wrestlers. 

At 133 pounds, Braden Brimm went 0-2 losing on two major decisions. 

At 165 pounds, Jesse Gardner went 1-2 and scored 1.0 team points for the Swedes. Gardner won by decision over Friends University's Jacob Wallace 4-2. That would be the only victory of the day for Gardner as his other two losses came by falls. 

At 174 pounds, Triston Vande Velde scored 2.0 team points for the Swedes. Going 2-2 on the day with his two wins coming from decisions against Friends University and Missouri Baptist University. He beat Brandon Barrager of Friends University 6-0 and a 9-2 win against Camden Meeks of Missouri Baptist University. 

At 184 pounds, Gannon Mosher went 0-2 losing on two tech fall overs. 

At 197 pounds, Chase Pywell went 2-2 scoring 4.5 team points for the Swedes. His first win came from a 9-0 major decision against Ethan Kappler of Texas Wesleyan. His second victory on the day came by fall over in 5:59 against Kelvin Coker of Texas Wesleyan. 

In the heavyweight class of 285 pounds, Rocky Whitehead went 2-2 scoring 5.5 team points for the Swedes. His two wins came both from falls one being in 1:13 against Jacob Bader of Missouri Baptist University, and 5:34 against Michael Trimmell (Unattached). Whitehead lost by decision against Hastings' Matheson Rodriquez, and by fall over against Gabriel Bowers of Friends University.
