SWEDES SUFFER SENIOR NIGHT LOSS TO THE VALOR, 66-76

Lindsborg, Kan. - The Bethany College Swedes hosted the Evangel University Valor, Saturday, February 15^th on Senior Day in Hahn Gymnasium.

Close first quarter for the Swedes as they were looking for revenge after losing to the Valor back in January by nine points. The score going into the second quarter was 20-21 with Bethany down by one. Unfortunately, the Swedes would struggle in the second quarter, only shooting 35% from the field. The Valor built up their lead and went into the break up by nine, 34-43. Bethany tried to find their rhythm but couldn't quite land the shots, shooting at 22% in the third quarter. Evangel managed to outscore the Swedes, 13-18, making the score 47-61 with Bethany down by 14 points going into the fourth quarter. The Swedes went to work on a comeback as the Valor were beginning to struggle, shooting 33% from the field. But in the end, the Valor held on and the final score was 66-76 in favor of Evangel.

Notable stats include, Jaden Newfarmer with 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals, Janae Black-Harmon with 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 25 points, and Colbi Rignell with 14 points and 4 assists.
