SWEDES TOPPLE #2 FALCONS IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAME

Wichita, Kan. - The Bethany College Swedes were on the road for their last regular season game at Friends University, Saturday, February 22^nd taking on the Falcons. The Swedes were looking to split with the Falcons after falling earlier in the season to them at home.

The Swedes started out strong against the Falcons shooting 44% from the field in the first quarter and outscoring Friends, 18-17. Bethany continued to remain efficient in the second quarter as they held the Falcons to only 12 points. The score going into halftime was 32-29, with the Swedes leading by three. Out of the break, Friends went on a run which looked to be the start of the Swedes' downfall. The Falcons outscored Bethany, 12-19, with the Swedes only shooting 29% in the third quarter. The Swedes were down by four, 44-48 going into the fourth quarter. Bethany quickly made adjustments and kicked it into high gear for the last 10 minutes of the game. The Swedes outscored the Falcons, 21-14 in the fourth quarter, giving Bethany the win. Final score, 65-62, Swedes win by three.

Notable stats include, Jaden Newfarmer with 11 rebounds, 9 points, and 5 assists, Janae Black-Harmon with 9 rebounds, 14 points, and 4 steals, and Emily Green with 7 assists and 8 points.
