DOUBLES PROVE VITAL IN 3-4 LOSS TO GOLDEN EAGLES
Lindsborg, Kan. – On March 7, the Swedes played host to the John Brown University Golden Eagles for the second time in a week's span. This time, play was more competitive as the doubles point was the ultimate tie breaker. The number three pairing of Helen Harbit and Makenna Russom won their match 7-6, but the Swedes number one and two teams would fall 2-6 and 7-5, respectively.
In singles, Sofia Castillo Paz got her revenge against Ashley Miller coming out on top 7-6, 6-1. Kyla Metro also got revenge over her opponent Arianny Sira winning in three sets 6-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-2). Makenna Russom defeated Annelise Dunn 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5). Maria Mistereck fell victim to a revenge match falling in a close one 3-6, 5-7.
