SWEDES COMPETE IN WASHBURN OPEN

Topeka, Kan. - The Bethany College Indoor Track and Field team competed in the Washburn Open located in Topeka, Kansas. The meet is a big competition and only a select group of Swedes were able to represent Bethany College.

There was some great improvement and another record setting performance prepping Bethany well for indoor championships this week. Overall, the Swedes had 4 personal bests, 1 event finalist and 1 school record. The 4x400m relay team finished the day strong with a heat win. Enoch Ojo had an outstanding showing at this 2-day meet setting personal bests in his events and lowering his school record again in the 400m (49.46s).

Head Coach Aaron Yoder on his team's performances: "We are excited about the KCAC Championships this week to be held at Wichita State University. Lastly, we are very close with several performances for the hitting national qualifying marks. Cameron Gordon is .13s from the mark in the 200m, Enoch Ojo is .16s in the 400m and .23s in the 200m and 5 cm away in the triple jump. Very exciting going into the competition this week.
