Peru, Neb.- Bethany College was on the road, Saturday, Aug. 24th taking on the Waldorf University Warriors and the Peru State College Bobcats in a weekend triangular match. First on the ticket was Waldorf in a 4-set match.
Set 1: The Swedes would take the first set after dominating the net throughout the set. Final score of set 1 was 25-20.
Set 2: The Warriors would come back and take set 2 after battling the Swedes point for point. Final score of the second set was 23-25.
Set 3: The Swedes would struggle in the third set with only 9 kills for the set and finishing 16-25.
Set 4: The fourth and final set was full of highs and lows for the Swedes who went point for point with the Warriors until the 10-10 mark where they would find themselves in a four-point deficient 10-14. After fighting to stay in the match, Bethany came back within one at 15-16. The Warriors would continue to keep the Swedes at bay until they went on their final run at 19-17. Final score was 19-25.
