CAROL SWENSON CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL RECAP
McPherson, Kan. The Swedes XC Teams competed in the Carol Swenson Cross Country Invitational with ideal weather conditions and great competition in McPherson, Kansas on Saturday, October 7th.
Great showing today for the Bethany College Cross Country Teams. The hard work is paying off and both teams capitolized on the opportunity.
Overall, the entire team experienced personal records. Bethany had 12 seasonal bests, 8 lifetime bests and 7 course bests.
"We were very pleased with this breakthrough competition and shows where we will be in the postseason," said Head Coach Aaron Yoder.
The women's team was led by senior Rylee Paramore who was the highest placer of the day finishing 33rd overall. She ran her overall best time, good for a 20:49. The mens team was led by Junior Jackson Wallace who finished in 55th place and ran a lifetime best of 27:33. The men's top 5 had an average time of 27:51 which was a vast in=mprovement from their last race at Bethel College.

The Swedes will be returning to action in two weeks for the NAIA Mid-States Classic on October 21st for a conference preview of the course. The meet will be located in Winfield, Kansas.
