YODER SHINES IN CAROL SWENSON INVITATIONAL

McPherson, Kan. – The Bethany College Cross Country Teams competed at the Carol Swenson Invitational today hosted by McPherson College. Coming off a two-week hiatus, the Swedes battled and showed great improvement.

Head Coach Aaron Yoder: "Coming off two hard weeks of training, the Swedes battled through and showed great improvement. We know that next two meets will be prime time for even more improvement and good races. The whole season is gearing toward the conference championships which will be in approximately a month. We showed we are right on track today moving forward"

Overall, the Swedes had seven seasonal bests, three lifetime bests, and two course bests. The women's team was led by Lydia Escalante who ran her collegiate best with a time of 26:25; good for a 42nd place finish. The men's team was once again led by Chris Yoder who finished in the top-25 with a seasonal best time of 27:47.
