SWEDES GO DOWN 0-3 ON THE ROAD

Wichita, Kan. - The Bethany College Baseball traveled to Friends University to play in a 3-game series. Unfortunately for the Swedes they would lose all three games in Wichita as they tried to find their footing on the road.

Game 1

In game 1 of the series, the Swedes battled hard to try and get runners on base. Unfortunately, only 1 hit by Connor Haresnape and 1 ball would be the only times the Swedes would be on base. A 9-run inning in the 4^th for the Falcons would seal the deal to make the series 0-1.

Game 2

During this game, the Swedes would put up a much stronger fight against the falcons. While the falcons did open up the score in the 3^rd and brought across a few more runs later on, the Swedes would also respond with 3 runs of their own in this game. Unfortunately, it would not be enough as the Falcons came away with the win 10-3.

Game 3

In an attempt to not go back home empty handed, the Swedes would open up the score first and keep the Falcons on their toes the rest of the game. This 7-inning game seemed to be for the Swedes until the Falcons scored 3 runs in the 6^th. This comeback by the Falcons proved to be the final nail on the coffin as the score ended 2-4 in favor of the Falcons.

Up next…

The Bethany College Baseball team will travel to take on the University of St. Mary and try to avenge their loss from the week before. While there will only be one game played, it will be an important one for the Swedes to try and get back to winning ways.
