SWEDES FALL TO NO. 19 EAGLES

Bartlesville, OKL. - The Bethany College Baseball team away against Oklahoma Wesleyan University. They would come back empty handed with an 0-3 series record in Bartlesville.

Game 1

This bout would remain scoreless until the 3rd inning where the Swedes would score the first two runs of the series. However, the Eagles would come back and score two of their own in the same inning. As the game progressed the home team would gain an advantage that would only continue to grow with each inning. This game would go to OKWU 13-3. Emmanuel Alicea would be the most successful hitter in this matchup with 2 hits to get the Swedes going in the series.

Game 2

While this game was right after the first, the Swedes had already started to show desire to come back from the previous bout. Again, they would get things going with 5 runs in the 2nd inning. However, OKWU would not be shown up and would score 5 of their own right after. The Eagles would score 8 in the 4th inning but would be shut out the rest of the game. Bethany attempted to fight hard and kept numerous scoreless innings but couldn't score but 1 more run ending the game 6-13 in favor of the Eagles. Joseph Rivera had an incredible 4 RBIs in this game.

Game 3

Needing a win to not come home empty handed, the Swedes fought to try and make sure a win would come home. Unfortunately, OKWU knew how to retain their lead and struck first in game 3. The Swedes would score the most runs than any other game in the series with 8 in the final game. Unfortunately, OKWU shot back with 17 of their own to claim the final game 8-17. Noel Perez would have an incredible 5 RBIs as he stood out at bat for the Swedes.
