12 SWEDES EARN KESSINGER ALL-DIVISION HONORS

12 SWEDES EARN KESSINGER ALL-DIVISION HONORS

WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced the 2024 KCAC Football Kessinger Division All-Division honorees and individual award winners, as voted on by the division's football head coaches.

12 Swedes earned All-Division honors for their play this season.

Jamarie Jackson earned First Team Kick Return. Jackson averaged 21.6 yards per return and took one back 89 yards for a touchdown against Ottawa University.

Malaki Daniels earned First Team Punt Return. Daniels averaged 8.5 yards per return and, just like Jackson, returned one against Ottawa University; this one a 36-yard touchdown return.

Justin Clatterbuck (2nd team) and Ruben Almendarez (Honorable Mention) both received recognition for their work this season. It is difficult to point out notable individual stats for offensive lineman, but, as a unit, the Swedes never once got called for holding which is a significant feat.

Julian Carpenter and Khyree Marshall both earned Second Team Defense honors. Carpenter tallied 91 tackles (second in the Kessinger Division) on the season including a sack and 7.5 tackles for loss. Carpenter even forced a fumble against Sterling College. Marshall led the Kessinger Division with five interceptions including a couple of one-handed snags against Tabor College and Sterling College. Marshall would finish the season with 62 tackles.

Josiah Hardrick earned Honorable Mention recognition as a Fullback. Hardrick totaled 542 all-purpose yards and eight touchdowns.

Michael Young earned Honorable Mention recognition as a Wide Receiver. Young tallied 461 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

Ryker Grossner earned Honorable Mention recognition as a Wide Receiver. Grossner totaled 282 yards receiving.

Humphrey Kakuba earned Honorable Mention recognition as a Defensive Lineman. Kakuba racked up 32 tackles on the season.

Terry McCutcheon earned Honorable Mention recognition as a Linebacker. McCutcheon totaled 64 tackles (eighth in the Kessinger Division) and four sacks (10th) on the season.

Caleb Epperson earned Honorable Mention recognition as a Defensive Back. Epperson tallied 39 tackles on the season and three interceptions (6th in the Kessinger Division).

Friends University and Southwestern College shared the Dr. Ted Kessinger Division title, both with 4-1 records against division opponents, and both 10-1 overall. The Falcons secured the division's automatic bid to the NAIA Football Championship series, but the Moundbuilders also moved onto the postseason as an at-large selection.

The full list of All-Division first team, second team, and honorable mention winners, as voted on by the KCAC Kessinger division head football coaches, are listed below.
