SWEDE FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES SPRING/ALUMNI GAME DATE
Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Football team has announced that their second annual Alumni Football Game will be held on Saturday, April 12, beginning at 1:00 PM. The Alumni Football Game also doubles as the Swedes' Spring Game.
Head Football Coach Mike Grossner on the success of last year's Alumni/Spring Game: "I feel like it went really well especially for the alums that came back. After listening to some awesome feedback, I felt as if this kind of game could truly grow and become a tradition. The alums getting to connect with current players and staff is immeasurable. Also, you do not have to play to be a part of this deal. This is a great chance to reconnect with former teammates and Bethany College."
As for the rules of the game, they will be established at a later date once Coach Grossner has an idea of how many alums are participating. One rule that has already been set is that quarterback and kicking situations will not be live.
The cost of the event will be $25 per alum although senior players from the past season will be free. The goal is to help cover some of the expenses a little bit for the event. A breakdown of the day is as follows:
- 10:00 - 11:30am - Alumni Check-in/Equipment Hand Out/Waiver Signing/Health Insurance documentation
- 11:45 - 12:55pm - Walk Through For Alumni
- 1:00 - 3:00pm - Game
- 3:15pm - Social @ Ol'Stuga For Alums, Seniors, Coaches, Game Officials
Upon arrival, all participants should bring with them to the game:
- Check/Cash/Card
- Health Insurance Info/Proof
- Cleats/Gloves
- A Great Attitude

After the Alumni/Spring Game, Head Football Coach Mike Grossner and his staff will host a Crawfish Boil at the Ol' Stuga at approximately 3:15 PM. Sandwiches, drinks, and some great stories and laughter are also to be expected while having a great time back our old stomping grounds.
