Bio

Josh Seybert joined the Bethany College Athletic Department in January 2023 as the Bethany College Swedes Football Team’s Defensive Coordinator as well as the team’s Strength Coordinator.

Before Bethany, Josh was the Head Football Coach at De Montfort University in Leicester, England. Prior to De Montfort, Josh was coaching receivers and was the Special Teams Coordinator for the football team at McDonald County High School (MCHS) in Anderson, Mo. from 2017 – 2021. While coaching at MCHS, he also was the Sprints and Hurdles Coach for track and field.

As a coach, Seybert has groomed three All-Conference Wide Receivers in which one of them earned Unanimous First-Team All-Area.

As a player, Josh earned Honorable Mention All-Conference as a defensive end in 2012 at Lawrence High School. He was a two-year starter at tight end and three-year special team while a Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. and was on their 2016 NAIA National Runner-Up football team.

Josh Seybert has accumulated bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Mechanical Engineering at Baker University (2016) and the University of Kansas (2018), respectively. Josh has also obtained his master’s degree in Energy and Sustainable Building Design at De Montfort University in 2022.
