HASENSCHWANDTNER FINISHES 5TH IN EVANGEL SPRING INVITATIONAL

Springfield, Mo. – Both Bethany College Men's and Women's Golf teams took the road to Springfield, Mo. to begin their spring season at the Evangel Spring Invitational hosted by Evangel University.

Women

Allison Applequist was the lone competitor for the Swedes shooting a 190 (+46) over the course of competition finishing 14^th overall. She showed consistency shooting +23 each round.  

Men

As a team, the men finished 3^rd overall out of eight teams; second among KCAC teams. Mads Hasenschwandtner finished 5^th overall with a 227 (+11). Hans Woelfel and Daniel DeGeorge, the latter played as an individual, both placed T-18^th with a score of 239 (+23) as both played their best golf during the second round. Will Briggs and Aiden Lynch would round out the scoring with a 249 (+33) and 251 (+35), respectively. Luke Tate played in round three shooting a 78 (+6).

The Swedes will get a chance to enjoy Spring Break as their next competition is not until March 31 – April 1 as they will compete in the Hesston Spring Shootout in Hesston, Kan.
