SWEDES LOSE AWAY TO BETHEL

North Newton, Kan. - The Bethany College Men's Soccer team played against the Bethel Threshers in a conference game where they really needed a result to find their footing.

The Threshers scored right away in the first few minutes to assert their dominance at home. They continued taking advantage of the Swedes' lack of fight and scored once again in the 11th minute. It took two goals for the Swedes to start fighting back and ultimately they would also score taking advantage of a set-piece thus putting the game at 2-1 for the Threshers. The Threshers not remaining complacent would score only a few minutes later, ending the half at 3-1. 

The Swedes would play with a completely different lineup with younger players who were eager to help give the others a breather and try to impress. While there were a few bright moments, non of the opportunities that the Swedes had would end up in the back of the net. The Swedes would concede two more goals in 66th and 68th minute and while they kept fighting, the Threshers held them off ending the game 5-1 in their favor.

The Bethany College Men's Soccer team will play the Evangel Valor at home at 7:30 PM. They look to end this winless run once and for all.
