SWEDES OPEN KCAC PLAY WITH LOSSES TO SOUTHWESTERN

Lindsborg, Kan. - On March 25^th the Bethany Tennis squads traveled to Winfield to open KCAC play vs the Southwestern Moundbuilders.

 

The Women's team played competitive matches throughout the day, ending with a 0-7 loss to the hosts. The Men's squad faced the same fate, hampered by the absence of Team Captain Franco Hernandez. The losses drop both teams to 0-1 in KCAC play, with the women becoming 3-6 on the year, and the men 2-6.

 

Coach DeWitt after the losses: "I think the best part about today's matches was proving we can play with anyone. While the scores didn't clearly indicate our competitiveness, we were able to compete in all 18 matches. None of our players were outclassed or, more importantly probably, out hustled. We will learn some lessons from today and be ready to go on Monday."

 

 

The Swedes compete next on March 27 at home vs Sterling College.
