Lindsborg, Kan. – On March 8, the Swedes played host to the Concordia University Bulldogs. After some hard-fought matches, the Swedes were unable to come out on top in any of the matches falling 0-7.

In the doubles matches, Zeke Mumford and Dylan Gwilt had the best showing in doubles competition falling 3-6 to the duo of Grady Works and Mauel Rodriguez Berdud.

In the singles division, plenty of matches needed extra point to secure sets. Danie Lozano started off slow, but picked it up against Joseph Melzer in the battle of the number fives. Lozano gave up the first 2-6, but roared back to take the second set 6-4, but would ultimately lose in the tie break 0-1 (5-10). For the number three spot, Zeke Mumford also went to a tie break with Chisholm Benjamin, but would fall 0-1 (3-10).

Both Swede Tennis teams are scheduled to begin conference play Tuesday, March 11, as they host our rivals from up north, the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes. Play is set to start at 3:00 PM, so remember to wear your blue!
