SWEDES STRUGGLE IN SECOND QUARTER; LOSE BY FOUR

Bartlesville, OK. - The Bethany College Swedes were on the road at Oklahoma Wesleyan University taking on the 3-6 Eagles. The Swedes came into the contest wanting to get back on track after they fell to the Evangel University Valor just days prior, but the Eagles would take advantage of a rough second quarter to finish ahead of Bethany.

Both teams were off to a strong start in the first quarter but Bethany managed to edge out the Eagles with a one-point advantage heading into the second, 19-18. While holding the Eagles to 12 points in 2^nd quarter, the Swedes would struggle hitting their shots and walked away having scored only 8 points. Oklahoma Wesleyan went into halftime with a 3-point lead over Bethany, 27-30. Coming out of the break, the Swedes put their heads down and went to work to gain back momentum. But once again the Eagles would outscore the Swedes and now led by four, 41-45, going into the 4^th quarter. Unfortunately for Bethany, Oklahoma Wesleyan would hold onto their lead to finish out the game ahead by four points, 56-60.

Notable stats include, Jaden Newfarmer with a double-double, 10 points and 11 rebounds along with 2 steals, Celina Eisenhardt with 12 points and 5 rebounds, and Kylie Dunn with 3 assists and 7 points.
