SWEDES SIGN OFF AFTER BATTLING THE BLUEJAYS IN KCAC QUARTERFINAL LOSS

Hillsboro, Kan. - The #7 seeded Bethany College Swedes were on the road for their KCAC Quarterfinal matchup taking on the #2 seed, Tabor College, Thursday, February 27th. The Swedes split with the Bluejays in the regular season.

 Slow start for both teams as the first quarter kicked off. The Swedes managed to reach double digits as the quarter was winding down and gained a slight advantage over the Bluejays. The score heading into the second quarter was 11-8, Bethany up by three. The Swedes would struggle in the second quarter as Tabor picked up momentum. Shooting at only 20% from the field, the Swedes were outscored 5-18 and went into halftime down by ten, 16-26. Bethany came out of the break and went to work to chip away at the deficient but Tabor continued to hit shots and maintained their lead as the third quarter was coming to an end. The score going into the final quarter was 31-40, the Swedes down by nine. The Swedes battled but weren't able to overcome the Bluejays' lead. Final score 47-60. The Swedes finish their season, 15-14.

Notable stats include Janae Black-Harmon with a double-double, 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals, Jaden Newfarmer with 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Kylie Dunn with 11 points.
