SWEDES FINISH FIRST IN 2022 SWEDE SHOOTOUT

McPherson, Kan. - The Bethany College Swedes Women's team hosted the 2022 Swedes Shootout at Turkey Creek Golf Course. The tournament last two days from October 17th to the 18th. 

The Swedes would shoot a 337 as a team in round 1 followed by a 345 in round 2 for a total score of 682 landing Bethany in first place by 6 strokes. 

Ida Lihufvudh would lead the Swedes with a final stroke count of 165 which was good for a fourth place finish individually. 

Elin Kennborn finished in a tie for sixth place with a score of 170

Devorah Urea had the best day for Bethany on day two with a score of 83. She would tie with Brooke Norman in a tie for tenth place in individual rankings

The Swedes will make their way to De Soto, Texas for the final meet of 2022. Both the women's and men's team will take the road next week to participate in the Thorntree Throwdown. Play will begin at 8 AM CT.
