Newton, Kan. - In a challenging regular season conference tennis match on March 24, 2025, the Bethany College Swedes Women's Tennis team was overpowered by the Bethel College Threshers with a match score of 6-1.

Despite a tough outing for the team overall, there were notable individual performances. Makenna Russom stood out for the Swedes by decisively defeating Jenna Mahoney with standout set scores of 6-1, 6-1 in her singles performance. Additionally, the doubles match featured a shining moment for Bethany College as Makenna Russom and Riley Ahlstedt teamed up to defeat Bethel's Kate Rowland and Charis Yager convincingly with a score of 6-2.
