14 PERSONAL BESTS FOR SWEDES IN MIDWEST CLASSIC

Emporia, Kan. - The Swedes Track and Field teams returned to Emporia State University on Friday, April 4, for the Midwest Classic competition. Battling colder conditions, wind, and rain, the Swedes came away with some very solid performances.

Overall, the Swedes had 14 personal bests and one top-3 finish. The men's 4x100 meter relay had the highest finish placing second in the event. The Swedes also had a female and male thrower complete all 4 throwing disciplines.

Head Coach Aaron Yoder had this to say about his teams' competitiveness and grit: "We have been impressed with the crew on how they have pushed through the training and have continued to improve over the past 3 meets.  We are excited about our student athletes and how they are stepping up to try new events and showing improvement week after week. This completes the half way point of our season.  We will be unloading on the training next week and take a week off from competition. Thank you for all the support and we look for the back half of the Outdoor Track and Field Season."
