SWEDES COMPETE IN MID-STATES CLASSIC

Winfield, Kan. - The Swedes Cross Country Teams took the road to Winfield, Kansas to participate in the NAIA Mid-States Classics.

It was a tough battle, but served as a great prep for the KCAC Championships in two weeks that will be at the same course and location. 

The women's team was led by junior Elyse Boden who finished 89th place and with a time of 22:15.3 good for a seasons best. The men's team was led by freshmen Kelton Kern who placed 89th and finished with a time of 29:12. Some other highlights were senior Zoe Auld ran a season best with time of 22:42. Lastly, is sophomore David Sawyer ran a course best of 37:01.

Head Coach Aaron Yoder: "We trained very hard this week coupled with warmer temperatures and windy conditions. We are very confident that the work that has been put in this season will pay off at the final cross country meet in two weeks. We have planned to fully peak at the conference championships and are on track to do that."

The Swedes will return to Winfield, Kansas for the KCAC Championships in two weeks on Saturday, November 5th.
